According to Chinese legend, Daoist Zhou and Peach Blossom Fairy used to be the sword of Emperor Xuantian, one the sword itself, the other its sheath. They were reincarnated into Daoist Zhou and Peach Blossom Fairy. Daoist Zhou is a retired official who becomes a fortuneteller. One day, he predicted misfortune for Women Shi's son and servant PengJian. However, because of Peach Blossom Fairy's intervention, his prediction does not come true. He loses both his reputation and his source of income. To avenge himself, Daoist Zhou intends to marry Peach Blossom Fairy and embarrass her on their wedding. He sets several traps to make things difficult for Peach Blossom Fairy. She nevertheless frustrates his schemes one by one. These clever ways of dealing with mischief have now become wedding customs now. Being humiliated, Humiliated, Daoist Zhou flies into a rage and draws his sword to attack Peach Blossom Fairy.
