The Brave Guy series features Liao Wen-ho Puppet Show Troupe's consistent style of martial arts combined with a neon-flashlight setting and a tight-knit, mysterious plot with humorous dialogues.
In the story, a rascal named Hu Bao joins Lei Hu, the head of the bandits on Devil's Mountain. The pair coerces local residents to buy and sell drugs, causing agitation in the area. The leader of the Northeast, Bai Yun-sheng, decides to fight against the bandits on behalf of the people. Lei Hu sends his sister, Lei Ying, to seduce Bai Yun-sheng so as to kill him. But Lei Ying falls in love with Bai Yun-sheng at first sight and confesses the evil plot to him. Rejected, her love turns to hatred and she vows to take his life. At the same time, the Six Demons also take the opportunity to lay siege to Bai Yun-sheng. It is at this moment that the Brave Guy, Meng Zhi-sheng, appears to rescue Bai Yun-sheng. The Brave Guy detests villains who assassinate others. With his martial arts kung-fu, he kills the assassins. Lei Hu offers ten thousand taels of gold to buy off the Brave Guy. But the Brave Guy remains undaunted. The Brave Guy leads an army of righteous soldiers to take down the Devil's Mountain. The story ends with the good guys rewarded and the bad guys properly punished.
