When he was 8 years old, the film’s director caused a terrible incident at his school. The guilt he continued to carry cost him the love and trust of his family, and became the psychological impetus for his constant efforts to build a “perfect” image and please those around him. Now 25 years old, this forced persona has turned into a soul-crushing burden that erodes his will and spirit. He begins to investigate this traumatic memory through in-depth soul-searching, documenting the process of mending his past. He writes letters to his estranged school friend and interviews his family members and a former teacher. Slowly, a journey of healing and self-rediscovery begins.
