Sock’n Roll was a work produced by Business Weekly. LI Dong-lin, nicknamed “Black Dog”, established a sock factory in Shetou Township at the foot of the Bagua Mountain. This movie documents how he fought against a global downturn after a shortage of overseas ODM purchase orders, and built his own brand despite the small size of his factory. Black Dog transformed his dream of playing in a national sports team to create sports socks that are comfortable yet inexpensive. The unyielding, hardworking determination of Black Dog and his innovative spirit during the founding of his business epitomize of the fortitude of Taiwan. He not only fought for himself and his family, but also sought ways to keep the name of the hometown industry alive.
