Taipei, 2009. Easygoing twenty-something HUANG Tian-Kuo delivers lunch boxes for his restaurateur parents. He gets to know LIN Yang-Yang, a street performance artist who devotes her life to the swimming career of her deaf elder sister Hsiao-Peng. Following the death of their mother, and with their Christian missionary father busy in Africa, the two sisters have lived largely alone. Communicating with Yang-Yang via sign language, Tian-Kuo finally succeeds in inviting her out on a date, but later, after an accident involving her sister, Yang-Yang withdraws from the blossoming relationship. Tian-Kuo, however, is not so easily put off. Will he be able to resolve their misunderstanding and win back her love?
